Let the Holidays Begin

The kids have been pretty upset that we didn't have exterior Christmas lights and I had been trying to remind them that our Dad has been working 90 hours a week and barely has time for sleep. My brother-in-law Chad Waldron had been offering to help us, but one year without lights was not gonna kill us and it wasn't his responsibility. Sunday night Rob was at work and I was at a church meeting leaving the kids in Kelsie's care, we both happened to pull up at the same time and were surprised to find xmas lights on the house!! At first I figured it was Chad but when the kids came running out of the house beyond excited to tell how they single handedly put lights on the house, We got stories about how Zach was climbing trees and Kelsie getting down ladders while Mason made them hot coco, Rob and I wanted to die!!! We could only picture how easily there could have broken their neck but they were sooooo excited about what they had done!!!! The gig was up in the morning when Mason could not keep it a secret any longer, he spilled the beans. Our friends the Howel's happened to be driving by looking at everyones lights with their kids and saw Santa's helpers out in front of our house :) The kids were well on their way to getting up lights but I am sure there were no broken necks thanks to Reese!! I am proud of my kids for their efforts and grateful to the Howell's for keeping CPS off my back

Dunemont

Way out in the middle of no where there is a "North Pole" that you can put your letters to Santa in , I am a crappy mom and I forgot to bring paper and crayons so we improvised and had the kids yell there wish list into the mailbox, lets hope it works :)
Robert had to work thanksgiving and everyday after that but he managed to sneak out a little bit early and join us at the dunes for a couple of hours of fun and what would be a day at the dunes be without using your snowboard to ride down the sand!!!

Zachary "Kit Carson"

Lets just say Zach has not exactly received good grades this year, so when he need to deliver an oral report for social studies, it was very important that we did well. He drew the Name Christopher Huston Carson. He had to do his report on him and I figured what teacher could resist a kid that went above and beyond and gave his speech in the 1st person while dressed up? We got an A, and I say we because I did most of it. Reports like this/ science fair projects are for the birds!!!!!!!

GNO

Best Girls Night Out ever!!!! Who doesn't love a good book, so does it get any better than watching that book come to life with 96 of your favorite friends! As far as I am concerned UFC fights do not have anything on renting a theater for a midnight showing of New Moon!!! Boys don't be jealous

City Center

This is the reason why I never see my Husband!!! I will be honest it is pretty awesome to see what rich people are able to come up with but not so awesome the hours they will expect you to work in order to make it happen. We are really anxious to have our Dad back!!!

Hawaii

Hawaii has got to be adult Disneyland because I am certain it is the "Happiest Place on Earth" We went with my parents to Kaui in October and we had so much fun. We were able to do all sorts of fun things. One day we went on a zip line tour, picture being 80ft in the air in the middle these weird looking pine trees, you feel like you are in the mountains but it is 85 degree's outside. Good Times!!!

We went to Oahu for a few days and I really wanted to go to Pearl Harbor. It was a very humbling experience and I was grateful for the opportunity to go.

One day we kayaked up a river then hiked to a waterfall where Robert swears is where they filmed Robin Hood. So of course he wanted to capture the full Kevin Costner experience, the one were you get to see his bare butt. I am prettier sure Rob would say that Kevin makes frolicking in a waterfall is not as much fun as it looks.

Guys NIght UFC Fight

I made the mistake of coming home during the middle of the UFC fight just to find that the boys were not happy with the way I had arranged my furniture so they took it upon themselves to rearrange. I mean really who wouldn't pull the formal sofa into the family room for more seating!! I was a little embarrassed of what they may have found under the sofa but they didn't seem to mind it was better than the floor or a hard kitchen chair. Life just doesn't get better than BBQ ribs with all the fixins, all the soda you can drink and watching men beat the crap out of each other!!! Go guys night

Anyone for Lunch

My girlfriend Keri is an amazing cook so she taught the girls how to make chicken pillows and oven french fries. The girls did a great job and lunch was fabulous!!!!

Summer fun

Oh what can we do in the summer time when all the world is green........ just kidding, we wanted to keep the kids busy so every Wednesday ME, Leslie, Keri, my Mom and all of our kids came over to learn a new skill of some sort and then we would finish the day at the pool.
Leslie taught the girls how to decorate cakes while the boys were trying out different painting techniques. fun, fun, fun

One day the girls (Kelsie, Briton and Reilee) learned how to sew a simple purse. They turned out pretty cute and I think they all had fun.

Miracles never cease

Some may look at this picture and think holy crap they have alot of shiz and there garage is a mess but if you have ever been to our house and need anything our of the garage you know that this is AMAZING!!!! My husband can do MANY things but keeping the garage picked up is not his Forte' so we are just going to enjoy the moment.

Great Outdoors

We did all sorts of fun things while we were in Provo, movies, eating out, shopping and the zoo but they had just as much fun if not more hiking Bridal Veil Falls. I didn't realize their was a side path up the falls so we just went right up the front :) The kids thought it was exciting when the rock would slide under our feet and I was second guessing my judgement. Zachary is getting to be so grown up and such a gentleman, I would hang back to make sure no one went tumbling but he would always wait for me at the steep parts to give me a hand ( I was fine but I couldn't resist letting him feel like I couldn't do it with out him) I love having boys, who knew!!!

Hogle Zoo

While visiting Adri Mason informed me that he had never been to the Zoo (that puts me right up there with worst mom ever) so we made our way to Hogle's Zoo. I made the poor kid wear his eye patch and about half way through the day I realized he was having a hard time seeing some of the animals so while at the Giraffe exhibit I told him to take the patch off, I felt awful because once he took it off the first thing he said was, Oh, there's the Giraffe, mommy can we go back and see the tigers again!!! I wanted to cry, poor kid has never been to the zoo and he only saw half of it :(

Paint ball battle wounds

Robert and a few of his friends went paintballing, he came home telling me how much fun they had and then in the very same breath began to show me the bruise he received from playing. I don't understand how that is fun, it had to of hurt. What ever makes him happy!!

Happy Birthday to Me

Happy Birthday to me!!!!! Rob surprised me with a custom closet for my birthday YEAH!!! I know it is not super fancy but can you say no more wire racks and believe or not, more organization ( I just have a lot of crap ). I would really love to know how he came to the decision to give me this, most times I have to drop many hints for a gift like this but I will take it and I love it!!!!

look into my Good EYE

We recently found out that Mason has some serious vision problems, he has a lazy right eye that has nearly no vision in it. The doctor is hoping that with patching his good eye and a strong perscription in his bad eye he might get some of his vision back. With 8 hrs of patching a day Mason is not enjoying this but we keep reminding him that if he is a good baseball player with one eye he will be amazing with two good eyes, right now it is keeping him motivated. We still think he is adorable!!

Knotts Berry Farm

We took the kids to Knotts Berry Farm for their summer break, there were a few rides that Mason was not tall enough for and one big roller coaster that Zach was not tall enough for, well while we were waiting for Rob and Kelsie, Zach played this 3 pt basketball game 4 times at $5 a pop  ( of his own money) he was so confident in himself it was funny and after his second time he had a crowd watching him.

I really do enjoy roller coasters but I get super bad motion sickness so it is not always a lot of fun for me but the kids kept teasing me that I was a whimp so I said I would ride with them if one of them was willing to hold my hair while I threw up. Zach was the winner!!!
Happy 6th Transformer Birthday Mason
Mason wanted a transformer cake for his birthday and Robert was certain that we could do it. I kept asking him if we should call Leslie (my sister who decorates cakes) for help but he insisted we didn't, well long story short the night before I am printing off how to make fondaunt which is not as easy as it might seem. At about midnight we had a transformer cake, things were thrown and Rob almost gave up but I think he did a pretty good job!!
I am forever telling the kids that I am 28 so they were very surprised to learn that really I was turning 33 (not 13)

fourth of July

We had friends over for swimming and fire works over the 4th!

St George Vacation

Just a little weekend get away to St. George to enjoy golfing, shopping, good food, friends and Footloose play at touachan.

Yes this is Robert golfing and no you should not have to chase your ball up the hill!!
